My son lacked confidence in sport, but has flourished at AKKA. He is always keen to attend classes and has learnt quickly. The teachers are excellent and have built his confidence. Thanks!

I would NEVER recommend this club to anyone. My children were members of this club for almost 5 years until my daughter had her membership terminated (along with a group of her friends) one week after winning SWAT member of the year for the second time. The kids were not given an opportunity to discuss the reasons for their termination, and Kelly and Kelvin refuse to answer our emails. They have spoken badly about the children terminated to other club members, and rather than speaking to my husband or myself told my 15 year old daughter via email that her parents were not welcome on the premises. Overall Kelly and Kelvin are unprofessional and poor communicators. They do not model the values they are meant to be instilling in their students and do not treat the children with respect. Stay away!

Experienced teachers that are passionate and have a great sense of humour that make the classes engaging! The kids that compete have a great sense of team bonding while the others have developed great friendships. And the adult class is challenging but amazing fitness and friendships. Overall AKKA has been a great experience for someone like me who has just joined a year ago and now hooked on the fitness, friendships and competitions!

Great martial arts training, I take my 4 year old son there. He learnt the moves so quickly, and got amazing grading. Both Kelly and Kelvin are professional and caring for the minds and bodies of our little ones. The coordination and the skills they teach are for life. I highly recommend them. Bella joined AKKA almost five years ago and has just flourished as part of the club. The level of coaching and mentoring is first class and has taken her to heights we would have not have imagined. She placed 2 and 3 at nationals this year and we are so prouder of her. Thanks so much to Kelvin and Kelly for their time spent preparing her.

I started Krav Maga at AKKA 2 months after being assaulted on St George’s Tce in broad daylight and I found myself frozen and stunned on the sidewalk. We all like to think we’d know what to do in that situation but the reality is unless you’re trained you don’t. Krav Maga is highly practical and doesn’t waste time with eastern philosophy or breaking bits of wood - I don’t know of any woman who has had a plank of pine violently grab them Donald Trump style.It’s straight to the point and teaches you real practical knowledge that makes you safer. The instructors are amazing, no class is ever exactly the same and build on skills and fitness necessary to keep you safe. The term empowering seems to be applied from everything from crystals to mantras but nothing comes close to actually knowing how to defend yourself. I’m no Mossad agent but I know much more than when I started and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to feel better about their personal security.

Karate classes at AKKA taught by Kelly and Kelvin are always challenging and fun at the same time. The family class" where kids and parents can train together is a wonderful idea and definitely our favourite. We'd recommend AKKA to anyone interested in learning martial arts."
